Teen Intervene is a “brief, early intervention program for 12-19 year olds who display the early stages of alcohol or drug involvement.” This program is designed to reduce and ultimately eliminate a teen’s substance use; it consists of three 1-hour sessions, which are administered by a health professional over the course of approximately 10 days. Of note, this program focuses heavily on problematic alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana use; three of the most commonly used substances among adolescents.
Talk to your health care provider, or your adolescent’s school nurse to see if they utilize Teen Intervene or know someone who does.
